On May 18th a homeowner called in a report of seeing a Mountain Lion walking across Camino Verdera near Senda Roble, heading toward the golf course. If you happen to spot a Mountain Lion you are advised to call Placer County Animal Control at 530-886-5500. In addition, there is also a Hotline for non-business hours calls that are urgent but not an emergency, which is 800-488-4308. It is important to remember, if you happen to come across a Mountain Lion, do not turn and run, you should back away slowly and quietly. When out on the community trails please be watchful and cautious of your surroundings.
